Very pleasantly surprised. I went in on Tuesday night half hour before closing. I was promptly greeted and tended to. I saw the doctor within 5 minutes of checking in. She confirmed my lab results and I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. My prescription was called in. By the time I got to the pharmacy it was already waiting for me.
I would definitely not recommend this location. Their management of my test results bordered in malpractice. I went in On Monday night of thanksgiving week with all the symptoms of strep throat. The rapid tests came back negative but the dr still suspected it so sent a culture. She said the results would be in in 1-2 days tops. I asked with thanksgiving being only 3 days away if I could expect to get the results and therefore get on medicine by Wednesday and they assured me yes. After multiple calls they have now told me the results will not be in until thursday by noon but since they are closed I will get my results on Friday. My symptoms have actually now changed and I went to another dr today and was diagnosed with hand foot and mouth disease but if I did have strep and was waiting 5 days for test results without medicine I could have had serious complications. The worst part about this is I started crying on the phone with one of the paramedics at this Quincy location out of frustration and she was actually laughing at me on the other end. It was bizarre, unprofessional and extremely hurtful as I was and still am in extreme discomfort and pain now on the eve of thanksgiving.
My wife sliced her finger and we debated about going to the emergency department. Fortunately we decided to try this facility instead. From the initial informational phone call to the good bye at the door, the experience was unexpected and exceptional. Great attention was given to our time and my wife's discomfort. Dr. Eng was very pleasant. When my wife called back to ask questions about the follow up care for the wound, Dr. Eng told her to just come right over and she would take care of it. There was no extra charge. Health Express is a great alternative to the ED when it is not a life-threatening situation and we highly recommend this one.
Facility wasn't very clean. Dust on everything. Each employee I dealt with mentioned that I came in an hour before they close... you're an urgent care facility and all I needed was a strep test and a prescription... Receptionist was unprofessional, ignored HIPPA, flung my cards back on the desk and couldn't control her hand motions, which was unsettling. Doctor used the disposable ear cone in the ear I told her was hurting and put it in the other ear. Gross. She went from my room to another patient and back to me without washing her hands once. Did not prescribe me enough medication and my strep throat is back. I'm pretty sure they did it on purpose with their attitudes.
I have to say this place is amazing! They went out of there way to help tonight. I should up literally at the last minute and even though all staff had a very long day they stayed, and got in and out. They def saved me an all night event to the emergency room. Thank you!
