I went to get my passport renewed in January it is now the first of may and still nothing When I went to renew it they said it should take 2 months to get here that was a complete lie I've called multiple times and asked if my passport would be here before June and they always give me the same answer "yes it will be what's your name and number that way when it gets here we can give you a call" because they told me my passport would be here in 2 months I went ahead and booked my flight for June 13th it is now May and still nothing I'll be very upset if it doesn't come in on time and the company will definitely be hearing from me
It's a shame that if you don't pay extra to expedite a document you would wait 14 days to get it and on top of that they say they will call you when it's ready and they never do. This kind of service shouldn't be happening in the country! Shame on who runs this office
Why do you charge so much for a documentation, why does it take weeks to receive it? Is anyone trained to do finger printing for passports? Because it seems like 4 ppl have to go in one room to Assist. Can you make it easier to get a receipt ? Because I had to wait for 35 min to get it and the same person who takes your money can't give you a receipt
My experience with the Consulate has always been an excellent one, from the time they were in Boston to Quincy. Very reasonable waiting times and everyone has always been very polite and eager to help. As for the phone situation let's not forget that they work with a very tight budget (Capeverdean budget, US prices), as well as a very large community they have to serve, so unless they hire a few more people...
